School priorities

Arnewood is a school with real momentum. The priorities below reflect where energy and focus are directed right now - and the direction in which the school is headed.

Improving outcomes for every student

A great education is measured in what students are able to do, achieve and become. Arnewood is committed to ensuring that every student leaves with the qualifications that reflect their true potential - and the confidence to use them. Through evidence-informed teaching, a relentless focus on the classroom experience and high expectations held consistently across the school, the aim is simple: that every student achieves more than they thought possible.

Growing our community

Arnewood is a school families are increasingly choosing - and that reputation has been earned. As the school continues to grow, there is a focus on welcoming new Year 7 students into a community that will know them, challenge them and celebrate them from day one. For those considering Sixth Form, Arnewood offers a natural continuation of that journey - a place where students who have grown and take their next steps with the same people behind them, and where students joining from elsewhere find an equally warm and ambitious welcome.

Continuing our journey of improvement

Arnewood today is a genuinely different school to the one of a few years ago. That transformation has been purposeful, sustained and built on a clear vision - and it is not finished. The school is in an exciting period of development: embedding great teaching, deepening the relational culture, strengthening outcomes, and raising its profile as one of the most exciting schools in the region. Every decision made is in service of that journey, and the whole community - students, staff, families and partners - is part of making it happen.
