The Arnewood School welcomed 156 year 6 pupils on Friday October 4 to take part in an exciting range of biology, chemistry and physics activities. Children came from Ashley Junior School and New Milton Junior School to experience lessons with specialist teachers in a secondary school setting

Activities included using microscopes, weight bearing bridge building and a forensic crime solving chromatography experiment. The day was part of the Arnewood School’s program of annual events for local junior and primary schools that aims to promote a range of subjects and ease transition to secondary school.

Head of Department, Jake McGregor said, “It was a pleasure to host the Science Day and foster enthusiasm for all things science.  Our visitors appeared to have a tremendous amount of fun and we look forward to seeing them again as Year 7s in 2025.”
