Nigel Pressnell, Headteacher at The Arnewood School offered huge congratulations to all of our students on another set of fantastic results with one in five students achieving  A* – A grades.  Mr Pressnell said, “Each of them has worked extremely hard, supported by a dedicated team of teaching and non-teaching staff at the school. I wish them well as they progress to university, college, apprenticeships and employment.”

Mark Colman, Director of Sixth Form, added “Sixth Form is a special time. It’s a period where you can invest yourself in the subjects you love in a like-minded community. Whilst these young people have had this time disrupted they have shown passion and resilience in overcoming the challenges. We are proud of all of them and look forward to hearing about their successes in later life as they progress beyond our sixth form”.

Two outstanding students Finn Sabin and Dominic Renouf who achieved 3 x A* in Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics and 1 x A* in Mathematics and 2 A Grades in Physics and Further Mathematics respectively are going on to study at Warwick University.

Other notable results included Bethany Mitchell who achieved an A* in Mathematics, A* in Biology and an A grade in English Literature is going on to read human science at University College London.  Matthew Borley achieved an A* in Mathematics and Computer Science and an A grade in Further Mathematics and is going on to read Computer Science at Southampton University.
