Last night’s Easter Concert was outstanding, the strength of performance from every single student was remarkable. On Thursday 21st of March our most talented music students took to the stage and delivered a concert that wowed the audience and left Arnewood School staff feeling incredibly proud. Thank you to all the students and staff that made the event a success with special thanks to Mr Byles for organising the concert and giving our students the opportunity to shine.

Staff members supported by playing instruments, singing, and working behind the scenes. Year 10 student, Darcy demonstrated a wonderful interpretation of the music conducting the String Ensemble to balance beautifully as they played “My Favourite Things.” Year 11 cellist, Sammy performed such an elegant recital of Elgar’s Cello Concerto movement 1’ that perfectly conveyed the emotion of the piece and left the audience with goosebumps.

Head of Music, Mr Byles said “I couldn’t be prouder of the group of students that participated in the Easter Concert, the standard of performance was incredible! It is so important to pay attention to young people with musical talent and to cultivate it.”
